Together they played video games, which police say helps with communication. It's based on a program used by the Marines to help team building through video games. Lt. Matthew Moriarty told ABC40 News, "We try to use this as a team building exercise not just for the P.D. or the Boys and Girls Club, but also for the kids. They get the idea you can't win on your own, there's a team waiting for you." Police also say working with the kids teaches them to trust and respect police and instills a sense of self worth in the students.
